ABOUT
Naureen Ahmed is a Pakistani-American Muslim, born and raised in the South and currently based in the Chicago area. She brings a background in business and finance alongside a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University.
Naureen is the founding director of SEEMA, a national mental health organization created in honor of her late mother. Through SEEMA, she has supported community-based mental health initiatives including support groups, educational programming, and access to culturally responsive resources. The organization’s work has been featured by NPR, PBS NewsHour, Psychology Today, and other national outlets.
Her work has centered on the intersection of mental health, relationships, community wellbeing, and leadership. Over the years, Naureen has facilitated workshops, support spaces, and conversations focused on emotional awareness, healthy boundaries, communication, and personal growth.
Today, Naureen’s interests sit at the intersection of mental health systems, nonprofit leadership, and program development. She is especially drawn to work that supports sustainable, human-centered approaches to care, healing, and community impact.
